Otterly Awesome Sunday!
Sunday, June 4, 2023
FREE EVENT! Join us at the Museum for Otter Talk! Educator Kristin Holloman-Noe from the NC Aquarium at Fort Fisher is thrilled to share the story of Asian Small-Clawed Otters.
Asian Small-Clawed Otters, the smallest otter species, are in decline in their native habitat as a result of illegal wildlife trade, hunting, and habitat loss. Educator Kristin Holloman-Noe will share the story of Asian Small-Clawed Otters, including the characteristics and behaviors that make them unique as well as the steps that can be taken to protect the species from further decline. With a total of ten otters now in residence, join us in experiencing a day in the life of an otter and maybe learn a few new tricks. And bonus, there will be plenty of otterly awesome photos!
