1. When is Election Day and what are the hours for voting?

The 2022 Statewide General Election will be held on Tuesday, November 8, 2022. All 43 of our Precincts will be open on Election Day to serve registered voters on Election Day. On Election Day, the hours for the 43 New Hanover County precincts are 6:30 am to 7:30 pm.

3. How do I register to vote in New Hanover County?

The North Carolina Voter Registration Form (PDF) can be found on the NC State Board of Elections website. You may also register to vote at the DMV when you acquire your drivers license. Physical copies of the registration form can be found at the office of the New Hanover County Board of Elections, your local public library, or other county agencies.

4. How do I request voter registration data?

The New Hanover County Board of Elections will fulfill public data requests for voter registration and voter history information. It is important to be specific about the type of data you are requesting as well as the file format. Please remit the signed request form to New Hanover County Board of Elections via fax, mail, or hand delivery. Please allow up to five business days for all requests to be processed.
