4-H is the nation’s largest youth development and empowerment organization, reaching more than seven million 4-H youth in urban neighborhoods, suburban schoolyards, and rural farming communities. Fueled by university-backed curriculum, 4-H’ers engage in hands-on learning activities in the areas of science, healthy living, and food security.
New Hanover County 4-H is growing and we are in need of enthusiastic adults to lead local 4-H clubs. In 4-H clubs, kids complete hands-on projects in areas like science, health, agriculture and citizenship, in a positive environment where they receive guidance from adult mentors and are encouraged to take on proactive leadership roles. If you think you’d like to start a new club, contact Leslie Dill, 4-H Agent, at firstname.lastname@example.org or 910-798-7660 to get the ball rolling.
